The Learning Centre at Moora Moora hosts courses and workshops relevant to sustainable community living.
Moora Moora Co-operative Community is an intentional community of about 50 adults and 20 children on a 245 hectare property located in beautiful bushland surrounds on Mt Toolebewong, Victoria. Australia.
We aim to live sustainably. All of our buildings are solar-powered with wood heating. Many are owner-built from natural materials and we provide nearly all of our own services such as roads, water and energy.
The courses we host are relevant to or arise from our experience of living this lifestyle. Many are provided by members of the Moora Moora community, but the Centre is also home to courses provided by others. Courses have covered a wide range of interests: yoga and qi gong, sacred ecology and spirituality, living in community, eco-village design and stand-alone solar power systems accreditation for electricians are just some examples.
Our facilities include The Lodge, which provides bunk bed sleeping as well as meeting and dining facilities, and The Octagon which provides a large open space suitable for workshops and group processes.
Our picturesque mountain-top environment provides the ideal course venue, providing a retreat from the pressures of day-to-day life while being only about 90 minutes by car from the centre of Melbourne.
