Rates and Bookings

THE LODGE: Accommodation is $30 per person for the first night with a minimum charge of $450 (15 people); then $25 per person for each subsequent night with a minimum charge of $375 (15 people) per night. These charges include use of the Lodge facilities and basic bed linen.

THE OCTAGON: There is a day rate of $60 per day for the use of the Octagon.

CAMPING: Our rate for camping is $10 per head per night.

GUIDES: If you wish we can arrange for members and residents of Moora Moora take groups on guided tours of Moora Moora, or to discuss how Moora Moora functions. Contact us for details.

CATERING: We have a fabulous caterer who lives in the community - catering is her business and passion. She does all the catering for our groups, when requested, and her food is tasty and creative vegetarian or vegan fare. We can determine charges for catering once we have established your requirements.

If you wish to self-cater, there is a group fee of $20 per meal for use of our community kitchen in the Lodge. Meals would need to be co-ordinated so that each meal is prepared and eaten by the whole group at the one time rather than individuals preparing their own meals at different times. Also, the kitchen is only available between 7am and 9pm.

CLEANING: We provide the venue in a clean and tidy condition and groups can elect to have a clean up on the last day to return it to this condition or we will do so for a fee of $20 per hour.

Contact us to see if the date(s) you are seeking are available for bookings. We hope that you will understand our need to balance the consideration we have for you with the needs and logistics of our community.

To confirm a booking we require a financial deposit of 20% based on minimum numbers (15 people). The deposit will be refunded if the booking is cancelled more than two weeks before the scheduled first day of the booking or it will be forfeited if the event is cancelled within two weeks of the first day of the booking. In the circumstances where all or part of an event has to be cancelled by the Moora Moora Co-operative or the Learning Centre, appropriate funds will be returned. As we are unable to hold open dates indefinitely, the deposit needs to be paid within 10 calendar days (with an e-mail notification to This email address is being protected from spambots. Bushfire Cancellations

Moora Moora and its Learning Centre are located in a bushfire-prone area. In hot weather - typically late December to late March - the area may be subject to levels of fire warnings and restrictions such as total fire bans. Under very severe and dangerous conditions we may be required to evacuate all visitors from the property and mountain. We expect all visitors to respect and obey the relevant fire restrictions or rules that are in place at the time. If your group is affected by these arrangements, we will refund appropriate expenses.
